Eeeeep. Another series. *le sigh* Hallucinations and delusions always fascinate me in a narrator. There is a reason that Turn of the Screw is my favorite book; I love a dubious point of view. While Mara knows she's seeing things that aren't real, the reader doesn't know whether to believe her or not, and that works for me. Also, Noah. HEY there. The only real problem I had with this book was the HUGE amount of pop culture references. It almost felt as if I were reading a story written by a good friend with a ton of *wink wink nudge nudge* at the things we geek out about. While that is not necessarily a bad thing, it took me out of the story somewhat.
